Fall Vines

I love Sonoma in the fall. Wait, I love Sonoma all the time but the yellow and orange leaves on the vines are just spectacular this time of year. It’s probably one of the closest things I get to the changing of seasons in the Bay Area.

Travel

Only in Fairfax

It’s Sunday and a chill day in Marin is in store. I spend a decent amount of time over there since my girlfriend is from Fairfax. The charming hippie town in Marin County. As we were cruising through town we stumbled across an old gas station which had been transformed into an adorable vintage and hand crafted shop, The Garage. Couldn’t help but stop and check it out. Outside, there were rustic wood tables, vintage metal chairs, and two adorable trailers to peek inside of! Inside, the shop was loaded with antique toys, locally designed clothes, and cute little knick-knacks. Must make a trip back soon.

Bold in Blue

Recently have been into bold colored bags. It was love at first sight when i saw this suede Kelsi Dagger bag. Normally I would have grabbed the black but this blue was way too mesmerizing to ignore. Thanks to that pop of color my outfit has way more depth. Since I chose to have the cross body as my bright piece, I went for subtle, dainty gold accessories.

In the Neighborhood

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival

Every year The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival takes place in Golden Gate Park. Personally, this is my absolute favorite weekend of the year in San Francisco. It’s a weekend where I can go back in time to my true generation, the 1960s and 70s. Being the Aquarius that I am, I’m an old soul and these few days allow me to channel my inner flower child. My dad was a music lover and big bluegrass fan. He taught me everything I know about music and the way to appreciating all types of genres. Taking me at a young age, I’ve been going to concerts for a very long time. He started taking me to Hardly Strictly back when it first started, too. This year was my 10th year going! I’ve seen some killer sets over the years. Elvis Costello, Randy Newman, Indigo Girls, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Joan Baez, Les Claypool’s Duo De Twang, Broken Social Scene, Buckethead, Chris Isaak and of course the queen herself, who always closes the weekend, Emmylou Harris. Plus, many many more! This year was a treat for me since my sister was able to join our crew (she’s been away at college the past 4 years). Not only did I have my whole crew there and the good vibes were flowin’, the weather was on another level. Talk about an indian summer! It was in the high 80s all week long! But honestly, I don’t remember a time where it wasn’t amazing out during Bluegrass. Warren Hellman chose a good weekend!

Pink Party

The end has finally come, yes, summer. So naturally, I had to get my last day by the pool in. Sad to say goodbye but happy and excited to say hello to fall! Knits, Hunter boots, and coats are right around the corner!
